At Kingswood Primary School, we believe that strong learning behaviours are fundamental to success. We encourage all pupils to demonstrate resilience, independence, curiosity, respect and a positive attitude towards learning, helping them to grow in confidence and embrace challenges.

Homework is carefully planned to reinforce and extend classroom learning, with regular opportunities for reading, spelling and maths practice to develop key skills and foster positive learning habits at home.

Effective marking and feedback are central to our approach, providing pupils with clear guidance on their strengths and next steps so they can continue to improve and make progress.

Assessment is an ongoing part of teaching and learning, enabling teachers to monitor achievement, identify areas for development and tailor learning to meet individual needs. Together, these approaches ensure that every child is supported, challenged and empowered to achieve their full potential.
