At Kingswood, we introduce Forest School in Reception. It gives our children the unique educational opportunity of experiencing hands-on play and learning in a local woodland environment throughout the year.

During Forest School, children learn through play and exploration. Through experience they connect with things they can see, hear, smell and touch. Forest School is about making a connection with nature and producing a lifelong interest and love for the natural environment.

Forest School operates all year round and an integral part of this adventure is that children will experience the outdoors in all weathers.  

All activities are risk assessed and risk assessments are in place. More information can be found in our Forest School Handbook which can be obtained from the school office.
