Music

Music plays an important part in a child's education at Kingswood. Children have weekly lessons and a specialist teacher is employed to teach the children.

The lessons include singing, listening to a wide range of music, composing music with tuned and untuned percussion instruments and learning to play an instrument such as the recorder or ukulele.

The school also has a number of woodwind instruments and children who show a real interest in music have the opportunity to receive lessons from Kingswood staff. There is also the opportunity for children to receive lessons from a Surrey Arts music teacher.

The school also has a choir and sings at local events which include the annual Beacon Choir concert held in July. Each term the instrumentalists and choir also perform to the whole school and parents to highlight their musical achievements.
